An autobiography, detailing Rieul's experiences during World War II. Rieul was sergeant in the French army when the Germans over-ran France in 1940. His book recounts his journey from being a soldier to becoming an undercover agent, highlighting the dangers, challenges, and moral complexities of espionage. The narrative provides insights into the intelligence operations of the time and offers a personal perspective on the war, reflecting on both the broader historical context and the intimate, often perilous, experiences of a spy.
