Print on Demand. This book offers a detailed analysis of modern socialist theories and practices, tracing their roots to the influential ideas of Karl Marx. The author dissects Marx's core principles, including the class struggle, capitalist exploitation of labor, and the inherent contradictions of capitalism that will lead to its eventual downfall. The book examines how these theories have shaped socialist movements and events such as the Bolshevik Revolution in Russia. It also delves into the destructive and utopian aspects of socialist ideology, such as the abolition of private property, the elimination of class distinctions, and the international nature of the socialist revolution. Critically examining both the theoretical foundations and practical implications of socialism, this book provides a deep understanding of its impact on the world stage and its profound implications for the future of society. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.…

- Political Theory and History
Socialism and Socialistic agitation are not new things either in this country or in the world at large. Dreamers have been picturing ideal states of society at least as far back as Plato. Their pictures have impressed every generation and stirred a profound emotional interest which, in many cases, became a religion.
Idealistic Socialism, however, has made very little headway from the time of Plato to the present year. Only a certain proportion of idealists are born in any one generation. The great majority are blessed, if not with a saving sense of humor, at least with a sufficient regard for facts to prevent them from believing that a thing is true merely because it is pleasant to dream about.
