Superb copy of the 6th Printing ( Stated Sixth Printing May 1965 ) of all time classic children's book. Internally the book is crisp and clean, bright as ever, with just a tiny thumb print and teeny stray pen mark on the title page. Dustjacket is really nice as well, with Caldecott Medal and "Viking Library Binding" stickers on the front ( however this book is NOT an ex-library copy - it is a trade edition." Near fine with pictorial boards matching the dustjacket, which is Very Good or better. About 7 really tiny chips at the edges and corners, some very light rubbing in parts. Teeny bumped are by the head of the spine on the front panel, teeny closed tear on the back by the head of the spine as well. Corner of inner flap is clipped but the price is still present at the bottom ($2.96). Interior flap on the backside is lightly frayed at the bottom edge. A lovely copy of an early printing.
