Paperback. When Emma Vale returns to Hollybridge just before Christmas, she plans to stay only long enough to help her formidable Aunt June keep Vale's Bakery open through the festive rush. London is waiting, promotion is calling, and Emma has spent years convincing herself that ambition means leaving old places- and old feelings-behind. But Hollybridge has other ideas. Beneath the snowfall and Christmas lights, Emma finds herself drawn back into the warmth of the bakery, the meddlesome love of the village, and the quiet steadiness of Noah Hart- the boy she once almost loved, now the man who has never quite stopped waiting. As family secrets rise with old recipes, Aunt June's health forces impossible choices, and London offers a future Emma once thought she wanted, she must decide what it really means to come home. Is staying the same as giving up-or can the life she builds be wide enough for love, ambition, grief, bread, and every beginning still to come? A heartwarming village romance about second chances, chosen family, the courage to ask for more, and the lights we leave on for the people still finding their way home.
