Ten years ago, she told him she didn't love him. It was the only lie she's ever told him.
Baker Maisie Reid has one rule for Christmas: stay away from the Juniper Falls Inn. Its new owner is Jonah Ward, the boy who proposed to her on the Kissing Bridge with his grandmother's garnet ring the night before he left for culinary school. She broke his heart to save his future, and she never told him why.
Now Jonah is back. He's a widowed chef with a seven-year-old daughter, a buyer waiting to gut his grandmother's inn, and one condition in her will that he can't get around: host one last Christmas Eve Ball first. The desserts are already paid for. To Maisie.
Then the biggest blizzard in a decade shuts the canyon road. Maisie is snowed in at the inn with the man she never stopped loving, a little girl who wants to learn her family's gingerbread recipe, and twenty-two stranded church carolers who need feeding. The power's out. There's one working hearth oven and one old pantry with a very dark door.
And the truth she's kept for ten years is hidden somewhere in the inn, waiting.
Perfect for readers who love cozy holiday movies and:
- Second-chance romance with a secret that changes everything
- Snowed in at a Victorian inn in a blizzard
- A single dad, a sweet little girl, and a found family
- Her family's gingerbread, his grandmother's ring, and one last Christmas Eve Ball
- Clean, closed-door romance with a guaranteed happily ever after
Book 2 of the Juniper Falls series. It takes place during the same snowy December as The Christmas Cottage Arrangement, but every book stands alone. Pour the cocoa and get snowed in.
