Paperback. A dark, emotional romance that covers grief, healing, secrets, and the kind of love that feels like coming home. Matilda Estelle has spent most of life hiding pieces of herself that hurt the most. Her voice, her past, and the truth buried deep inside a family full of secrets. Bennet Smoke is quiet, guarded, and carrying ghosts of his own. But when Matilda steps into the spotlight at Henry's Bar everything changes. Bennet sees the woman beneath the fear, and something in the two of them begins to awake. As their connection sparks and deepens, so does the danger around them. Matilda's past isn't finished with her, and the family secrets left behind may cost them more than either of them is ready to lose. Together, Matilda and Bennet must face the wounds they've buried. The truths they were never meant to find out, and a love powerful enough to stand in the dark. Some wounds are written in smoke. Some hearts are healed beneath the stars. Smoke and Stars is an adult dark romance with emotional trauma, grief, family secrets, protective love, healing, spice, and suspenseful elements. Intended for mature readers.
