About the Authors
Dr Ali Sorayyaei Azar is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Language and Literacy Education within the Faculty of Education, University of Malaya (UM), Malaysia. He also got his Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics from the Faculty of Languages and Linguistics, University of Malaya, Malaysia. In a career spanning 27 years, he has worked as an EFL/ESL senior lecturer, researcher, and curriculum developer in Iran, Turkey, Qatar, and Malaysia. He has published and presented research papers on his topic of interest namely Academic Discourse Analysis, Genre Analysis, Corpus Linguistics, TESL, Educational Technology, and English Language Teaching Strategies in several prestigious journals including GEMA Online@ Journal of Language Studies (UKM, Malaysia), Asian ESP Journal, Asian EFL Journal, Studies in English Language and Education, World Journal of English Language, and Education and Information Technologies (Springer). He is the head of MAAL- SIG (Research Methods in Applied Linguistics). He is also the Editor of three books, including ‘Reconceptions of Policies, Strategies, and Challenges in Education 5.0.’, ‘Innovations in Educational Robotics: Advancing AI for Sustainable Development’, and ‘Smart Education and Sustainable Learning Environments in Smart Cities’ published by IGI Global-Publisher, in the USA. Khaleel Bader Al-Bataineh works as an associate professor of Applied Linguistics at the Department of English Language and Translation at Petra University, Jordan. He obtained his Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics from The National University of Malaysia (UKM) in 2012. Additionally, he holds a bachelor’s and master’s degrees in English language from Jordan with distinction. He worked in many universities in Libya, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan. His teaching experience amounts to 15 years at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, with good experience in empirical research and curriculum design. A major goal of his is to encourage learners to adopt learner-centered approaches to help them hone their language skills. He has many research papers published in international journals in the field of applied linguistics and e-learning. His research interests are applied linguistics, e-learning, blended learning, language in use, language analysis, speech acts, and their role in communication and sociolinguistic behavior.
Nitu Maurya is an accomplished academic and researcher specializing in Economics, currently working in IILM University Greater Noida, India. She holds a Ph.D. from the Department of Economics at Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. Her research interests encompass a wide range of topics such as infrastructure development, economic growth, regional disparities, and sustainable development. Dr. Maurya has made significant contributions to her field, evident through numerous publications in books, chapters, working papers, and journal articles. She has been recognized with several prestigious awards, including the Excellence in Research Award by NEBA and the Elsevier SSRN Young Research Award. Moreover, she has received accolades for her publications and presentations at various national and international conferences. Dr. Maurya is actively engaged in academia, serving as a speaker, session chair, and resource person at numerous workshops, seminars, and webinars. Prof. Dr. Parin Somani’s tireless efforts have also been acknowledged through being honoured with the Wonder Woman Award 2023 from Woman of the World (WOW) on 30th September 2023. In addition, Prof. Somani was invited in the capacity of a Chief Guest on 12th September 2023 to Malaysia where she was honoured with the International Emerging Icon award. On 3rd July 2023, Prof. Dr. Parin Somani was recognised as one of the 30 Best Speakers 2023. All Media Council awarded Prof. Dr. Parin Somani as a Global Leader on 3rd June 2023, while ANI news announced on 23rd March 2023 that Prof. Dr. Parin Somani is one of the Top 10 Inspiring Women Entrepreneurs 2023.
