1967 first edition McCalip-Barton Press / The Centennial Committee (Knightsville, Indiana), 8 x 10 inches tall stapled paperbound in white printed covers, copiously illustrated with period black-and-white photographs, 68 pp. Slight soiling and mild to moderate rubbing, edgewear and creasing to covers. Otherwise, apart from a couple of pages with very slight creasing, a very good copy - clean, bright and unmarked - of this scarce local history. OCLC (No. 18364190) locates only one copy at institutions worldwide. ~SP29~ A history of Knightsville, a town in Van Buren Township, Clay County, Indiana, which sprang up in 1867 around an iron furnace which had been built the year before. It was named for Dr. A. W. Knight, the original owner of the town site. The last third of this booklet is advertisements from local merchants and residents celebrating the town centennial.
