He has also worked in managerial positions for human rights organisations and aid agencies including Christian Aid and the Burma Campaign UK. He has been a regular commentator on programs including BBC World, CNN, Sky News, BBC Newsnight and Channel 4 News. His work has been published in the Guardian, the Independent, the International Herald Tribune and Prospect magazine.
