"We have too many meetings!"
This complaint echoes across boardrooms and offices everywhere.
The overwhelming monster of “meeting culture”—which only grew during the COVID-19 pandemic—is now more complex as remote and hybrid work become the norm. Predictions were that less time would be wasted via remote work, but instead, we have back-to-back Zoom meetings and one-on-ones filling up the workday. When do companies expect employees to handle their actual tasks? And how can managers help?
The truth is, people don’t know how to collaborate effectively. It’s time for a fresh approach to managing face-to-face time so your team can build relationships and get more done with fewer meetings. If you’re looking to champion effective teamwork while also needing support on how to advocate for change in your organization, this is the book for you.
Slay the Meeting Monster is a short, impactful guide offering you powerful advice through a fun-to-read parable. Through the story of a boss and two colleagues, you'll learn how to rethink meetings and collaboration and understand what it means to create a more connected and innovative work culture in today’s environment. Accessible dialogue reveals everything you need to know to establish psychological safety and trust as you prepare for meetings, conduct, and follow up—so you can slay the meeting monster for good.
Slay the Meeting Monster doesn't stem from research or rigid frameworks. Instead, this business parable is based on the author’s twenty-five years of experience working in on-site, hybrid/distributed, and remote work environments. Based on stories and strategies tested through decades of real-world experimentation, Slay the Meeting Monster challenges you to shift your mindset, change your habits, revolutionize your company culture, and reclaim your workday.
Dive into this transformative tale today and help your team start enjoying more results with less wasted time in meetings.
