From the streets of Skid Row to the highest levels of civic leadership, this is the riveting, Critically Acclaimed story of redemption that’s transforming lives across the nation.

From Skid Row to CEO is more than a memoir; it is a masterclass in human resilience, divine intervention, and the power of saying yes to purpose.

Pastor Troy F. Vaughn spent seven years homeless, many of them in cardboard boxes, shelters & garages on Los Angeles’ Skid Row. Addiction, incarceration, and hopelessness marked his days. But in one life-altering moment, Troy encountered the voice of God, and everything changed.

What followed is one of the most extraordinary transformation journeys in modern faith literature.

With rare honesty, spiritual depth, and pastoral warmth, Pastor Troy weaves his story through a powerful chapter structure: Present Room, Past Survival, Spiritual Encounter, Silver Thread, and Room for Assignment, inviting readers to reflect, heal, and rise into their own calling.

Whether you are fighting your own battles, leading others through theirs, or simply longing for proof that God still performs modern miracles, this book will meet you where you are and walk you forward with grace.

If God can redeem a life as fractured as Troy’s, He can redeem your story too.

Media Reviews

“In From Skid Row to CEO, Pastor Troy Vaughn offers neither sentiment nor spectacle, but something rarer: moral clarity forged through lived experience. His account moves seamlessly from the streets of Los Angeles to boardrooms and civic systems, revealing how leadership is shaped not by theory, but by responsibility, endurance, and service. This is not a memoir that seeks sympathy; it is a work that demands reckoning.” - The Los Angeles Tribune

“From Skid Row to CEO reads less like a memoir and more like a case study in modern leadership. Pastor Troy Vaughn confronts homelessness not as an abstraction, but as a systems failure, one he understands from the inside. With precision and restraint, he connects lived experience to boardroom decision-making, civic responsibility, and measurable outcomes. This is a book for leaders who believe accountability matters as much as compassion.” - San Diego Weekly
