Octavo. 32, 32pp., 16 plates, 6pp. Modern black cloth. Dummy copy of a sales representative with original illustrated yellow cloth cover and six original yellow spines of other titles in the series "Sittengeschichte der Kulturwelt und ihrer Entwicklung" with gilt stamped lettering and illustrations, printed on one six times folded sheet and bound in at the front as a fold-out. The sample contains half-title and title page with publisher's logo, series title page on verso of half-title, preface and 24 pages of the chapter "Mass-Aberration and Mass-Ecstasy" (pp. 9-32) as well as 32 pages of a chapter on fetishism with in-text b/w illustrations. Following are 16 plates with full page color illustrations on various subject matters, e. g. the burning of witches, a reproduction of a posters for a nude ballet, sophisticated dance, etc., the title page and introduction of the supplement "Sittengeschichte des Lasters" plus brief descriptions of the other available titles in this series and an order form. Text in German. Black cloth rubbed with creasing and some small tears at spine starting at three places in the section with color plates. Light age toning.
