Hardcover, leather bound, two volumes in one: 631 plus 480 pages. All edges gilt, ribbon marker, spine has black calf label with gilt lettering, raised bands with gilt decoration. Both covers with gilt design around edges, elaborate bookplate on inside front cover. A small notation dated 1854 on last page states the publication of the work was discontinued.
