The need to be validated and appreciated as a worthwhile human being his greater than ever before, especially in our schools and workplaces. Without purpose, passion, and a sense that we are making a difference, what meaning does our life really have, and why should we strive to do our best work? In The Simple Truths of Service Barbara Glanz helps each of us understand that we can give appreciation to anyone we choose. It costs nothing, except a few moments of our time. However, this simple little gift of kindess can create joy, happiness, purpose, and can change lives. Each of us can help people in the world around us.whether it is in our workplace, our home, or as we go through the daily interactions of our lives.to feel appreciated and valuable. How you choose to live your life is up to you, but the following quote sums up the way we choose to live ours:"Be kind and merciful. Let no one ever come to you without coming away better and happier." : Mother Teresa.
