Synopsis:
Once it greyed Norrin Radd, inhabitant of the peaceful planet Zenn-La, before the decadent complacency of his people, who had long overcome all the challenges. Only a huge disaster gave him the desired perspective. Galactus the World Devourer was on the way to absorb the energy of his home. Nothing but a dead, desolate rock in space would remain behind. Norrin offered him to find worlds as his herald whose energy he could feed. He has been transformed by Galactus into the Silver Surfer whose powers of the inhospitality of the all-strozing. One last time he returned to his home planet to say goodbye to his beloved Shalla-Bal, then he embarked on his journey. When Galactus reached out his hand to Earth--where our hero encountered the Fantastic Four--he leaned. And again he paid a high price: he was chained to the saved planet by his master and master by means of a force field - and delivered to the ingratitude of his suspicious human population. And so this volume continues: with the help of the Fantastic Four, the surfer finally manages to overcome the spell - only to face old enemies and even more grim threats. The reunion with Shalla-Bal is also unpleasant: she has literally emancipated herself from her former role. The ancients of the universe draw the Silver Surfer into their conflict. Together with Nova, he sets out to search for one of them, the Contemplator. In addition, there is a reunion with Galactus, whose origin story is illuminated in this volume. And the history of the Silver Surfer still has surprises for us.
