Nothing about this was inevitable.
Silas has always been good at carrying things alone.
The mistakes. The fractured relationships. The loss of the woman he loved. And the quiet conviction that, somehow, everything that goes wrong eventually leads back to him.
But when one reckless night sets off a chain of consequences among Silas and his closest friends, guilt begins to take on a shape of its own. What starts as anger becomes violence. What starts as grief becomes something harder to recognize. And as the people and places that once made his life feel whole begin to disappear, Silas is left confronting the one person he has never been able to forgive.
Himself.
Silas is a literary tragedy about friendship, guilt, shame, grief, and the devastating difference between what we are responsible for and what we convince ourselves we are.
A story about the weight we carry, the people who help us carry it, and what can happen when someone begins to believe there is nothing left to hold on to.
