Paperback. "He knew the effect he had on me. So he tore me apart." She often wondered at what point her past would mar her future. Would the river she filled with tears ruin the kingdom she created, making it tumble as if the foundation was sand? Or will the burden stick to her like tar? Ariadne Grey was forced into a marriage with Aaron Taylor, a right-hand man, to the leader of a French Crime organization. The only reason there together is for children. Children are demanded and not asked for. Ariadne thought she had her life figured out until Zane Parker changed everything she knew in a short span of time. The smell of his sweet nothings where like a dark spell.Like Midas, his touch was gold, but instead of a beautiful shimmer, it was a treacherous standstill gold that would never be used again.Iron fears rust as it stops it from being shinny and now Ariadne is just that; iron personified as rot.She thought her lover was fearless but came to a realization that while her mascara ran, he did too.
