Soiled on top page edges and rubbed at forecorners, head and foot of spine. Interior is unmarked and fine. Dust jacket is price-clipped, protected in removable mylar, with tears to folds at bottom edge and 1/2" missing paper at head of spine. Runciman offers a great narrative sweep covering the whole Mediterranean in the 13th century, leading up to the climax of the 1282 Sicilian uprising which massacred the French garrison and administration of Charles, their Angevin King. 356 pages includes index, notes, B&W photos and maps.
