Most financial advisors will never write a book. The ones who do are winning clients their competitors can't touch.
A prospect who reads your book before a first meeting converts at roughly 80%. A prospect from a cold digital ad converts at 5 to 10%. That gap — driven entirely by the trust a book builds in advance — is why book authorship has become the highest-ROI marketing strategy available to financial professionals today.
The problem isn't expertise. Every successful advisor has more than enough to say. The problem is time, process, and knowing exactly how to turn what you already know into a published book that works for you around the clock.
The Short Book Formula solves all three.
What's Inside the Second Edition:
In this fully updated edition, Paul G. McManus — Founder and CEO of Influential Advisor Media and the authority on book authorship for financial professionals — walks you through the complete system, from blank page to published author to client-attracting machine.
You'll discover:
— Why a short book (12,000 to 25,000 words, readable in under two hours) outperforms a comprehensive tome every time — and the data that proves it
— The six-week process that takes you from concept to finished manuscript in two to three hours of work per week, using a talk-based method that captures your voice, your stories, and your expertise without sitting alone at a keyboard
— The One Big Idea framework for choosing a book topic that speaks directly to your ideal client and no one else
— The six-strategy launch system: the inner circle soft launch that activates your best clients as advocates, the coordinated Amazon bestseller push, the COI foreword strategy that turns CPAs and attorneys into referral partners, the virtual speaking tour, the book website that builds your email list on autopilot, and the audiobook that reaches prospects wherever they are
— How to use your book to get booked on podcasts your ideal clients are already listening to — and turn every appearance into warm, pre-qualified leads
— Real results from real advisors: including an advisor who grew from $200,000 to $2.5 million in commissions in 30 months by combining a niche book with a targeted authority strategy, and another whose book generated an 80% close rate with affluent prospects
This Book Is For You If:
You are a financial advisor, wealth manager, CPA, life insurance producer, or other financial professional who does excellent work, has a clear niche, and is tired of watching less qualified competitors win the clients you deserve.
You don't need to be a writer. You need to be willing to talk for six hours over six weeks — and follow a process that has already produced more than 500 published authors in the financial profession.
About the Author:
Paul G. McManus is the Founder and CEO of Influential Advisor Media and host of The Influential Advisor Podcast. He is the leading authority on book authorship and authority marketing for financial professionals, having guided more than 500 financial advisors, CPAs, and life insurance producers through a proven system for writing and publishing a book in as little as six weeks.
Under Paul's guidance, his clients have generated more than $100 million in fees and commissions — not from book sales, but from the trust, authority, and client relationships a well-positioned book creates before a prospect ever walks in the door.
Paul is based in San Diego, California. His work, his podcast, and his resources for financial professionals are available at www.influentialadvisor.com.
