Possible association copy. Third Impression (stated). 8vo. 222 pp. Frontis. and other b/w photo plates. There is an inscription on fep--"Doc/ from Harry Beecher" which very possibly indicates provenance once in the library of Harry Beecher, Yale QB, grandson of abolitionist Henry Ward Beecher, nephew of Harriet Beecher Stowe, sportsman, and sometime sportswriter, whose greatest claim to fame is that he was the subject of the first ever collectable baseball card. We found this book in a Chicago bookstore and Beecher died in Cook County in 1948. Ships fast with tracking. Seller Inventory # W02-FHRT-035
