Our rates are based on the cost of the shipping, predominantly through the Canadian Postal Service. The estimate is based on the book you order being part of the majority of our stock, which are standard commercial hardcovers. In the case that a book weighs less than the estimated amount, we will reduce the price of shipping once we have an accurate amount. Conversely, should a book cost more, you may hear from us about an increase in shipping cost. This is rare, but mostly has to do with oversized books.
