Item description from seller

Five original 12" 78 rpm shellac records. Performed with members of the Mercury Theatre. Music by Marc Blitzstein. Some very light wear from playing and handling, else near fine in a very good album-style case with quarter cloth paper covered boards holding five unprinted paper sleeves which are bounded in, with three stamps on the first sleeve reading "FEB 17 1949," "A.B.C. Supply Co.," and the number "1,895," edgewear to the boards and spine with some loss at the foot of the spine, and rubbing to the boards. Columbia Masterworks MM-325. Excerpts from Orson Welles' groundbreaking minimalist production of *Julius Caesar* including highlight such as "Farewell and Death of Brutus," "Orchard Scene: Assassination of Caesar," and "Quarrel Scene of Brutus and Cassius." Original complete sets of the performance are moderately uncommon, but we can find no other examples of this set of excerpts.
