A centenarian’s wisdom proved more succinct: “Exercise and keep moving!”
But who determines what is wise and what is not? Is wisdom contingent upon where we stand and what our experiences have been? Is it fluid and ever-changing?
Sharing Wisdom Across the Ages presents a non-scientific look at wisdom from seven-year-olds to people ninety and older. You will read more than 300 brief responses about life lessons, advice, and questions. Like:
- The village eats before you do. (High school senior)
- How did you define meaning in your life as you left the workforce, your children grew up and created their own lives, and your friends passed away? (A Quadragenarian)
- I am not what others say I am. I am responsible for my own identity. (A Quinquagenarian)
- Take care of this earth. We should have done it for you. (A Septuagenarian)
- Let your kids develop their own wisdom. They need to learn to fly from the nest. (A Nonagenarian)
