The Shadows of Terror Forget what you know about terror. Forget what you know about violence. Instantly, you will be taken to a frightening new world. Terrorism now has a new face, a face that’s obscured in the shadows. The radical forces of destruction have learned to make themselves invisible to the West, and preventing a terrorist attack has become almost impossible. The boy or girl next door may be a suicide bomber. A new war has begun, World War III. Rick Bellamy, an FBI agent who specializes in counterterrorism, is engaged in his own war, a war with no end. Bellamy’s wife, Ellen, a prominent architect, discovers that she’s in the middle of the greatest terror plot to date. To defeat the enemy, Bellamy first has to uncover the clues, to shine a light on the shadows. He has to find patterns – before it’s too late. Rick works with a colleague from the CIA, a man who everyone calls Buster, and Bennie Weinberg, a detective and psychiatrist from the NYPD—“Bennie the Bullshit Detector.” Rick thinks they are close to breaking the code, close to getting inside. Then, his wife Ellen is kidnapped. Rick calls Buster, who rushes to the apartment. They learn that Ellen is being held captive in a house in nearby Tenafly, New Jersey. They also discover that the wife and daughter of a wealthy real estate developer, Angus MacPherson, had also been kidnapped, and were at the same New Jersey house. They started to connect the dots. Ellen was the architect for a huge multi-site shopping mall project that MacPherson had planned. Rick recalled that Ellen was upset about the drawings, which she didn’t think made sense financially for her client. Rick and Buster began to think that terrorists had big plans for the MacPherson shopping centers, and they wanted to squeeze as much information as they could from the project’s architect, Ellen. They devised a plan to free Ellen and the MacPherson women, an extremely dangerous plan. Rick arranged for an elite FBI Swat team to head up the effort. Rick, took his position as advisor to the Swat Team, along with Buster, in a rented house next door to the kidnapping location. Rick thought he knew his wife, Ellen. He knew that she was beautiful because it was obvious. He knew that she was intelligent, a nationally famous architect. He knew that she was kind to everyone she met. What he didn’t know was that Ellen was also a woman of raw courage. In an explosive ending that will shock you, the Swat Team attacks the house, aided by none other than Ellen Bellamy herself. Grab this unforgettable thriller now.
