Paperback. A letter with no postmark. A wax seal pressed in haste. An old friend who writes a single, chilling word: fear. When Thomas Ashworth is summoned to Ravenswood Hall for a weekend gathering of old acquaintances, he expects awkward reunions and stale brandy-not a host trembling behind a forced smile, not a houseful of guests with every reason to lie, and certainly not a death that the storm and the bolted doors insist is impossible.Set in the candlelit gloom of Victorian England, 1887, THE SHADOW ON RAVENSWOOD HALL is a classic country-house murder mystery in the grandest tradition: a great house cut off by the rain, a circle of suspects bound together by old secrets, and one clear-headed outsider forced to separate truth from performance before the shadow claims another victim. For readers who love Agatha Christie, Anthony Horowitz, and the golden-age whodunit-atmospheric, twisting, and built to be devoured in a single night. A storm-locked manor. A houseful of guests with secrets. A death that cannot have happened. A classic Victorian country-house murder mystery in the tradition of Agatha Christie.
