The final battle is coming. The Shadow cannot reign forever.
Years have passed since the Shadow Witch plunged the world into darkness — and still it has not recovered. No power, no order, no hope. The world humanity once knew is a distant memory, and the witches have had time to cement their grip on everything that remains.
The Malleus Maleficarum Council is a shadow of what it once was. Witch-hunters are outnumbered, outmatched, and scattered across a broken Europe. And Hunter Astley — the 7th generation witch-hunter at the centre of it all — is still fighting, still running, and still carrying abilities that defy everything he was raised to be.
But Hunter has not been idle. Trained by the ancient Donili monks of Italy, he returns with powers honed to their fullest and a renewed determination to end the war. To do that, he must piece together the truth — about the first Shadow Witch, about his own bloodline, and about the destiny that has been building for generations.
As Hunter forges alliances across Europe and prepares for one final, desperate stand, the Shadow Witch faces a reckoning of her own. The path she was born to walk is crumbling beneath her. And the choice ahead of her may cost everything.
Two people, bound by history, by blood, and by something neither can name. One war that cannot go on. And an ending that will change the world — whatever remains of it.
The Shadow Falls is the breathtaking conclusion to K.S. Marsden's internationally bestselling Witch-Hunter trilogy — a finale full of action, heart, and hard-won resolution.
