Paperback. In the kingdom of Incanterra, wizard dynasties have created a utopia with magic and enchantments. Under the influence of the wizarding houses, Incanterra has grown prosperous. It is a jewel of the free lands. However, the wizards have also influenced a code of morality by forbidding vices, like imbibing spirits, wagering at games ofchance, consuming spices, and peddling sinful wares. Suppression of these desires has fostered criminal guilds catering to the outlawed appetites of the people. The underworld crime family whispered as the Shadow Blades trades in these indulgences. After Valos Ironblade, Swayna Snowsong, Thade Skystone, and Cinder Fireborne were inducted into the family, their thievery of enchanted items pitted them directly against the frightful flames of wizard fire. It would become the opening salvos of a silent war between the wizards and the rogues. The fallout of these events continues to endanger the delicate peace of the city. But as wizards, rogues, constables, archons, protestors, counter-protestors, and even average citizens stand on the brink of war, a forgotten threat is lurking. A secret washed from Incanterra's history has been hiding from the wand, the blade, the gavel, and the gallows. When this cabal's leader decides it is time to ascend from the darkness, this terrible scourge could spell disaster for every living being within the high walls of the great city. The Unbound Curse is the second book in The Shadow Blades series, a fantasy adventure saga of underworld rogues pitted against wizards in a tale of intrigue, crime, vendettas, monsters, and magic This item is printed on demand.
