Paperback. Humphrey Bogart used to portray detectives back in the 1950's. Sheriff Randy is a throwback to those days when two-dimensional characters were popular heroes in the Pulp Fiction magazines. You don't have to like Randy to be entertained by his antics. He would be seen as unbearably selfish and a social anachronism if he were real; he is not. He provides us with entertainment as we follow his adventures in his fantasy world. Smile a little as you watch Randy playing the fool to reassure himself of his masculinity. Enjoy reading about the adventures of an interesting dinosaur in an unreal world. The characters in the stories become alive because they are multifaceted, not just good or bad. They are complex and changing like the circumstances of life itself. This series of books covers a wide range of topics and is written to entertain mature readers This item is printed on demand.
