Print on Demand. This book is a panoramic exploration of the history and lives of indigenous peoples in the Americas before colonization. By weaving together primary sources, archaeological data, and the author's own expert commentary, the book explores the vibrant and resilient civilizations that existed before European arrival, dispelling the myth of a 'pristine wilderness' and revealing a complex and sophisticated world of indigenous societies. In addressing the profound impact of colonization on these peoples and their ways of life, the book provides a comprehensive and nuanced account of the richness and diversity of indigenous civilizations in the Americas. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.
