Fourteen years of drug abuse. Twenty years of alcohol. Ultra-violence. Stabbings. Shootings. This was the life of Peter Rahme, a Lebanese South African who, in contrast, had been raised in a good Catholic home. As a boy Peter dreamed of being a priest but the brutal streets of Johannesburg's inner city had other plans for him.
In his impressionable childhood, Peter witnesses shocking robberies, savage beatings, and even cold-blooded murders. Unable to escape to the black hole of Mayfair, one of Johannesburg's scariest neighborhoods, Peter begins to emulate his surroundings. Ever-deepening spiritual bondage, fear, addiction, and rage leave Peter at a breaking point.
Jobless, suicidal, and amassing firearms, Death grins, beckoning to the young man.
Can Peter be Set Free, and if so, at what cost?
Find out in this thrilling tale of shattered dreams, despair, and supernatural intervention!
Now with three bonus chapters in a newly revised edition!
