Issues were bound in green or blue cloth, and volumes were in turn numbered and titled. Volumes are titled "The New Mexico Progress" and are numbered 36-53. Each volume contains 9 issues with original wraps. Most original wraps are printed in color, illustrated with southwestern themes. Each issue contains 15-25pp each. Issues were published monthly during the school year. Boards have light to heavy soiling and light wear. Issues found in volumes 39, 40, 42, and 43 have moderate to heavy dampstaining. Previous owner has written on top edge of each volume in marker. Overall good. "The New Mexico Progress" was a monthly publication for the New Mexico School of the Deaf located in Santa Fe, New Mexico. This serial publication is still published today but earlier issues are rarely seen in commerce. The New Mexico School for the Deaf was established in 1885 by deaf-education pioneer Lars Larson. Issues contain updates about new students, achievement awards, boy and girl scouts, school policies, and alumni. See below for a list of volumes and issues.
