Folio, (400x308mm), no titlepage, no cover-title, 32 hand coloured copper-engraved prints on 16 cards mounted back to back, with hand coloured illustration to the top half and text beneath, numbered in the corner between 1-20 without numbers 9 & 18, duplicate numbering not conforming to the image or text., each plate headed 'Series of Scripture prints by Wm. Darton', & below each plate & text is the imprint of Edward Suter, Printer, bright and attractive colouring, good margins, edges nicked not affecting text, one touching imprint, occasional marks & foxing, overall very good bound in half calf, marbled boards, worn & rubbed, spine missing. Scenes from New Testament - Matthew, Old Testament - Judges, Genesis and Numbers, See 'The Dartons: An Annotated Check-List by Lawrence Darton, 2004', H1353 & H1354. Most closely resembling H1354 although 'Society' in the imprint & not 'Depository' as in the check list. Being different size to H3153. Seller Inventory # 327
