Publisher's blind-stamped cloth-covered binding worn, front and rear outer hinges partially cracked, wear to corners and to head and foot of spine, spine torn (without loss), old water stains to front and rear boards; inner hinges sound, contents moderately foxed, all plates present (with the exception, as usual, of plate 13, which appears not to have been bound with the book), tissue guards present though darkened, an eight-inch tear to the folded map, lower fore-corner of last blank and of rear free endpaper torn with loss. 960 grams.
