When Daniel survives a life-threatening battle with sepsis, everyone celebrates. He is finally home. The infection is gone. The danger is over. Soon, Daniel begins struggling with exhaustion, memory problems, anxiety, disturbed sleep, weakness, and a feeling that he is no longer the man he used to be. His family watches helplessly as the man they thought had recovered begins fighting an invisible battle.
Through Daniel's journey, The Sepsis That Stayed explores the hidden aftermath of sepsis and the reality of Post-Sepsis Syndrome, not through medical jargon, but through a deeply human story of survival, family, fear, recovery, and hope.
Because sometimes, the hardest part of surviving is learning how to live again.
