Catalog for the exhibition in the Stadthalle Bad Schussenried from 4/22/1967 - 5/11/1967. 27 x 32 cm, 8 pages with 6 linocuts, manufactured by Rudolf Abt. Rare early exhibition catalog of the artist. Background: Mahler belonged to the ostracized artists in the Nazi era, his pictures were prohibited. In the 1960s and 1970s, he was finally rediscovered, his paintings can be found in the State Gallery Stuttgart, in regional councils, museums, by well-known private collectors and in many art exhibitions in Germany and abroad. He became a member of various art associations, including the secession Upper Swabia-Lake Constance (SOB). Despite his proximity to the Cubism of the twenties, to the painting style of a van Gogh or to Klee's dream pictures, he was one of the most idiosyncratic artists in Upper Swabia. Covers bottom half separated at the spine. Linocuts in perfect state.
