About the Author: William Plumer Jacobs, III, is a retired business man who, with his wife Erna, lives in Clinton, S. C. Jacobs was born in Clinton and has spent most of his life there with the exception of four years in the US Army during World War II and two years in New York as General Manager of America Lawn Tennis Magazine. In 1972, in anticipation on his retirement years he took up Art, specifically Watercolor. Then, remembering his college days when he gained a major in English he began to write poetry. Although he edited a history of Laurens County, S. C. and was advisor to other such efforts, this is his first book.
