Print on Demand. This book delves into the literary expressions of appreciation for the natural world that emerged in Italy between the 13th and 14th centuries. Previously, the beauty of nature had been a subject largely ignored by artists and poets, who instead focused on religious and allegorical subjects. However, during this period, both the social and intellectual climate began to shift. Dante, Petrarch, and other poets contributed to a growing body of literature that not only depicted the natural world but also expressed a deep appreciation for its beauty and significance. The author traces the development of this literary tradition and analyzes the ways in which it reflected the changing values and beliefs of the time. This book provides valuable insights into the development of the concept of nature in Western art and literature, making it a valuable resource for scholars and general readers alike. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.…
