J.M. BARRIE SENTIMENTAL TOMMY 2 VOLUMES SCRIBNERS 1917 NEAR FINE CONDITION. This set of two books was apparently part of a multi-volume set called The Author s Edition, and the only version authorized by Barrie for publication in the United States. I am pleased to offer Volume VI & VII of that set, titled: Sentimental Tommy, and published by Charles Scribner s Sons of New York in 1917. This rather handsome set, in remarkably good condition, consists of two medium-sized hard cover books (5 ¾ x 8 ½ inches, 504 rough-cut pages in total) is bound in green cloth with bright gilt decorations and titles, on cover and spine. The top edges are gilt, bright and clean. Each volume contains a captioned tissue-protected frontispiece and one additional captioned and tissue-protected plate. Condition: These two books are in near fine good condition. The hard covers are almost unblemished and without any real bumping or soiling. The gilt decorations and titles, on cover and spine, still shimmer and will from your bookshelf. Inside, the books are unmarked and the pages are clean and bright throughout. The tissue-guard in the second volume is slightly detached. The second plate in each book is a lightly toned but the other pages unaffected. All hinges are intact, and the bindings are tight, sound and square. These books are not ex-library or remainders.…
