Hardback, approx 7 x 5 inches. In maroon cloth with decorative gilt floral designs and gilt letting to front and spine. Full gilt page edges. Decorative yellow peacock designs to endpapers. In very good condition. Spine faded, some nicks to cloth at ends. Some rubbing to corners. No inscriptions. Some minor tanning to pages, Some darkening to title page and frontis plate from tissue guard. One or two minor handling marks to pages. No foxing or spots. A couple of minor cracks between a couple of page gatherings. Else a very good clean and tight copy. xvi + 342pp. Introduction by Austin Dobson.
