Print on Demand. This book presents detailed research that was foundational to a major pest control project for Southern pine forests conducted by the USDA Forest Service. Completed in 1980, the research determined the optimal technique and parameters for aerial spraying of pesticides to control cone loss from coneworms. By establishing the most effective aircraft type, elevation, and spray pattern, the author provided essential data that increased the efficiency and effectiveness of forest pest control, ultimately protecting the health of Southern pine forests, which provide valuable resources for construction and other industries. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.
