Strenously crafted and powerfully lyrical, Dylan Thomas' poetry has bewitched generations of readers. Admired and loved for their ingenuity and potency, his poems celebrate both inner and outer landscapes in the face of mortality and decay, human weakness and shortcomings. Thomas is regarded by many to be the greatest - if controversial - Welsh poet of the twentieth century.
About the Author: Dylan Thomas was born in Swansea in 1914, and during the course of his life produced a significant amount of work in the form of poems, short stories, film-scripts, broadcast stories and talks. His most well-known works include UNDER MILK WOOD and PORTAIT OF THE ARTIST AS A YOUNG DOG. He died in New York in 1953, aged only 39.
