This book is an instructive and challenging book. You will read tales which could fill you with horror, you many not even want to read on but you must! It is the moving story of a young Dutch girl in Nazi Germany, told by herself, who arrived with her family back in her native Holland, homeless and friendless. It is the story of miraculous escapes, one after another, from her brutal pursuers, who would stop at nothing in their attempt to achieve world-wide power. The contents will portray to you what Jewish people had to endure in this civilized twentieth century. Many people sacrificed their own lives that others could live; it it were not for such, the author would not be here to allow us to share this homely and honest account of an ordinary girl and her family. It is the story of a youngster who succeeded where others failed, who kept going when other faltered. It is the story of a girl who was picked out from thousands of condemned people and selected to live. Very slight foxing to end pages. Tiny pen dot to inside cover.(We carry a wide selection of titles in The Arts, Theology, History, Politics, Social and Physical Sciences. academic and scholarly books and Modern First Editions etc.).…
