Second ed., enlarged, volume I only; 611 p., on fine paper only mildly age-toned though foxed; former owner's name in pencil in small elegant hand on front end page; a few numerical notations and a few tiny ink splatters on back end page; beautiful marbled end papers and fine engraving of Rev. Baxter with tissue guard facing t.p.; binding firm though back gutter cracked and boards slight bowed; gilt lettering on spine reading "Baxter's Works Vol. I" clear and bright; moderate scuffing and bumping; marbled edges faded with some small ink splatters. More serious are moisture stains on margins of first 100 p., gradually diminishing.
