Add to basketAI factories are not traditional data centers—and treating them like one is the fastest way to fail an audit, lose control of your data, or expose your models to compromise. Securing the AI Factory is the first practitioner‑focused guide that explains exactly how to design, secure, operate, and scale an AI factory with the rigor today’s enterprises and sovereign operators demand.
Written for architects, CISOs, platform engineers, SOC analysts, and AI leaders, this book delivers a clear, vendor‑neutral reference architecture and a complete security model built around seven security pillars and seven enforcement points. You’ll learn how identity, perimeter controls, model protection, compute isolation, data protection, out‑of‑band management, and secure operations work together to eliminate ambiguity and make the platform defensible.
Through detailed walkthroughs, maturity scoring models, regulatory tiers, sovereignty requirements, and real‑world failure modes, this guide shows you how to build an AI factory that can withstand compromise, scale safely, and meet the strictest residency and sovereignty obligations.
What You’ll LearnHow modern AI factories differ from traditional environments and why the old security playbook no longer works
The complete AI factory reference architecture, explained layer by layer
The seven security pillars that define a defensible AI platform
The seven enforcement points where policy must be applied to prevent misuse
How to secure models, datasets, GPU racks, fabric paths, keys, and inference flows
How to enforce residency, sovereignty, and regulatory tiers from baseline to Tier 5
How to detect drift, prevent lateral movement, and secure high‑density compute
How to build a sovereign AI factory that is region‑bound, operator‑bound, and audit‑ready
How to evaluate your platform using practitioner checklists and maturity scoring
Security architects
AI/ML platform engineers
SOC and IR teams
CTOs, CISOs, and technical executives
Government, defense, and sovereign operators
Anyone responsible for securing high‑value AI workloads
AI factories concentrate more compute, more sensitive data, and more operational risk than any environment before them. This book gives you the blueprint to secure them not with theory, but with practical, enforceable controls that map directly to real architectures, real workloads, and real regulatory expectations.
If you’re building or securing an AI factory, this guide is the reference you’ll return to again and again.
