Print on Demand. This book explores the history and ideology of the Russian sect called "Men of God," also known as Khlysty, providing a unique perspective on religious practices and beliefs within Russian society. Originating in the 17th century, the sect rejects the Russian Orthodox Church, emphasizing individual spiritual connection with the divine. Members believe in the incarnation of divine powers in humans and practice rituals involving emotional intensity. The author examines the sect's beliefs about the nature of God, morality, and the afterlife, placing it within the larger context of Russian religious movements. Through an analysis of the sect's hymns, teachings, and practices, this book offers insights into the diversity and vitality of Russian spirituality, challenging conventional notions of religious authority and experience. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.…
