Paperback. After graduating from Minerva s Mage Training Institution, Louis has climbed his way to the top of the Magic Corps and learned to speak like a gentleman, all to marry the girl he loves. And now, he's all set to clear the final hurdle: becoming a Sage. But just before the Selection starts, his beloved fiancee Rosalie suffers a nasty fall and loses her memory. As Louis works to discover the truth behind the incident, an unexpected new candidate for the Seven Sages appears a girl prodigy who can use magecraft without uttering a word. Disaster looms and secret plots abound as the story of the Barrier Mage's youth reaches its exciting conclusion! After being accepted as a scholarship student at Minerva's Mage Training Institution, the rough and rowdy boy from a poor village is treated as a problem child and feared for the way he trounces his opponents in magic battles, yet still he finds teachers he respects and friends on which he can rely.
