- 43 fascinating ocean creatures, from hermit crabs, sea stars, clownfish, seahorses, dolphins, sharks, turtles, and whales to anglerfish, giant squid, yeti crabs, and sea pigs
- Memorable ocean “jobs” involving cleaning, filtering, hunting, grazing, building, burrowing, scavenging, migration, camouflage, and survival
- Eye-catching illustrated spreads showing animals in action

- An Ocean Job Finder that lets kids explore animals by what they do, plus a Creature Index for quick discovery.
And some of the facts sound almost impossible.
Did you know coral is made by animals, not plants? That a Hammerhead Shark can detect tiny electrical signals from hidden prey? That a Barreleye Fish has tubular eyes inside a transparent head shield? Or that the “ears” of a Dumbo Octopus are actually swimming fins?
