The Secret Capture by Stephen Roskill recounts the dramatic 1941 seizure of the German U-boat U-110, an operation that yielded intact Enigma material and became one of the most significant intelligence coups of the Second World War. Roskill details the tense naval engagement, the swift actions of the Royal Navy boarding party, and the extraordinary secrecy that surrounded the event for decades. Drawing on official records and first-hand accounts, he explains how the captured codebooks and equipment transformed Allied codebreaking efforts at Bletchley Park. A compelling and authoritative narrative, highly sought after by readers of naval warfare, espionage history, and WWII intelligence operations.
