Print on Demand. This book is an invitation to unravel the mysteries that captivate audiences in stage magic and spiritualist performances. It debunks the notion that these feats stem from occult powers and instead reveals the secrets and techniques employed by performers. The author, a seasoned investigator of magic and the paranormal, exposes the mechanisms behind these illusions. Spanning from classic cabinet tricks to modern-day telepathy performances, the book delves into the fascinating history of stage magic and exposes the scientific principles and clever misdirection techniques that underpin these seemingly supernatural displays. Through engaging explanations and insights, the author unravels the enigma of stage illusions, leaving readers with a deeper understanding of the art of deception and the power of human perception. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.…

The medium takes his seat on a chair in the cabinet, and passes one hand through each aperture in the sides, where they are securely fastened with ribbons or ropes, the ends of which are held by the committee. The curtains are now closed and the tests occur. The assistant under the stage works everything by pushing his hand and arm up. Through the hollow leg. He is thus able to ring the bells and play the musical instruments which are placed on the floor.
