A very crisp and clean signed first edition, almost new and unread condition, gift quality! Inscribed and dated by the author on the title page! 256 very clean, unmarked and uncreased historical pages nicely enhanced by black and white movie stills and photographs! "This book is an attempt to present just a bit of that rich history. The entries include many of the very best B films ever made and a few of both the worst and the indifferent ones for contrast. The reader will see how B films were influenced by A pictures and by each other, plus how they influenced A product as well. Talent which had a beginning in Bs and went on to greater things are mentioned, as well as those who never went anywhere and some who had once been great. The thousands of silent B features are impossible to evaluate, due to the vast numbers which were made, their total unavailability (many don't exist anymore) and the lack of involvement on the part of all but the most informed film historians. In short, no one ever heard of them.".…
